(Above) Red Quad - tall cityscape which I model off a 2d over head building layout. All assets where placed by me in this level. Most of the textures in here are done by me. except for some of the assets and trees. Gassy Blue box in the background is a portal to the next level. (Above) Red Quad - the dark shadow here is a building shadow. We used dark maps to lay shadows and highlights on the building, assets, and streets. Since Gamebryo v1.0 could not handle lights. (Above) Red Quad
(Above) Red Quad - Street lights and street signs where my assets along with the A-frame road blocks.

(Above) New York block - looking at the back of Macy building. which I built another artist took the front part of this build. I helped him get on schedule so the building kept going forward. So we copied sections that where the same so we didn't spend time remodeling  items we already model.

(Above) New York Block - to help speed up the project we started to model multiple buildings as one. So starting with "Nothing but Bags" and going right 5 buildings I modeled.

(Above) New York Block - using buildings over but changing the colors to give it a new feel, One of the artist took on the task of changing all the buildings colors this also harmonized the cityscape. The build in the middle is mine with the "Q". Normally all the double building would get their names stripped off. On this level I rearranged all the builds to make it look bigger than just one block, So we used the second block as the duplicates to fill in the city.

(Above) New York Block - main entrance of the back half of Macy's (Moxy's was given so we didn't have to ask Macy's if we could use their name)

(Above) New York Block - 8th Ave Restaurant is the Original building, Duplicate was the "Q" building. That's Moxy's in the background. the build next to this was out of scale so i had to scale it to the right size. doing so I notice some gaps in the geometry so i fix those areas and redid some textures. do to the over sized scale.

(Above) New York Block - The original artist called the model NW Building so when I rescaled it and changed some of the textures I included the name.

(Above) New York Block - This was my first build on this project.

(Above) New York Block - Baileys Pub and Grill and the build to the right are mine the building on the left was a giant three street side building. when merging I had to fix some gaps so when walk in the level with the avatar you would not be able to see through the building. I merged all the builds together on this level. Someone else took care of placing all the assets and light the ground with the best looking shadows. I also got to cull this scene, it took a few attempts to get the best outcome. But it was well worth is to make the level not so jerky when all through sections of town.

(Above) Purple Quad - was a shared quad. Pretty much who got done with their level first would move into this quad allowing first dibs on build sections. The sections where layout on a 2d overhead layout map. I was the first one in on this quad. This building was model by someone else, I proofed the model and fixed any topology mess and did the textures.

(Above) Purple Quad - Build on the left I made, I also was in charge of the asset placement, and making the streets markings. I also place surrounding buildings in so when walking around the scene you couldn't see beyond the short builds to gaps to the world map.

(Above) Purple Quad - in this level one of the main things that we want to try was a train system we were trying to get Amtrak on board So I built several tracks in this level the down ramp there was suppose to be a short tram system them could take you to an airport or another level. Getting up there was a challenge. but possible. Also there is a train car in the back ground it's an elevated train. I set up portal on each car so they could warp you to the Yellow Quad, Grey Quad, or the Red Quad. The three buildings that you see here where created by me based on the 2d overhead layout map.

(Above) Purple Quad - I made the road design layout, police station, the Tram station behind the police station (with blue windows) to the left of the Police building Rose Cafe, and to the left of that the elevated tracks and building.

(Above) Purple Quad - Court house - I was experimenting with ideas on the New York scene to make that WOW effect. Pretty much was a display case which had a cool effect in the game which made it look lit but there are no light in the scene. So what you see here is a hall way which if you could u would look strait thought the building. with minimum polygon use.

(Above) Purple Quad - Tram building on the left and the police station in the back with the court house right behind the track and then Rose Cafe.

(Above) Small Town - Hospital, the original model was too big for the plot of land so I had to go in and tweak the outcome. I made several version of this build and it was put to a vote on which one we liked the best.

(Above) Small Town - The gas station of the wrong scale at first I made the surrounding houses and back drop of hills

(Above) Small Town - We had a lottery on which plots we got. I ended up with the most builds in this level. so I had 3 blocks which I could walk around. The theater in the background was done by someone else.

(Above) Small Town - A different shot of one of my blocks. To the left of this block was the school model by someone else. but was too big for the plot. So when I merge it into the scene I adjusted it to fit on the plot of land.

(Above) Small Town - Another angle of my block
(Above) Small Town - Another angle of my block

(Above) Small Town - Another angle of my block, One of the artist had an idea for the signs for the drug store and hard ware stores and asked if I mind if he changed them from being a generic signs to proper names.

(Above) Small Town - the boss wanted the helicopter in the scene. since the hospital didn't fit the land plot I had to come up with another way to show it the scene and I was thinking a parking garage would be simple. If you walked into the doorway you could walk to the roof top (thought we could put a portal there to warp you some place)

(Above) Small Town - was build with the same textures of the Hospital.

(Above) Small Town - Another block of mine. The block right behind is was part of the original portal area.
